Care Guide For Cashmere
Ensuring the lasting beauty of your cashmere garments requires meticulous care and attention. Even if they appear pristine, residues of food, skin, and hair can attract moths, making regular cleaning essential.
Washing:
- Hand wash your cashmere delicately.
- Ensure your wash basin is clean and free of harsh chemicals or food remnants that may harm your cashmere.
- Turn your cashmere inside out and use lukewarm water along with a gentle detergent formulated for cashmere and wool.
- Avoid twisting, rubbing, or wringing the fabric during washing.
- Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
Drying:
- Never wring out water from your cashmere; instead, place it on a clean towel and gently press to absorb excess moisture.
- Reshape your garment and lay it flat to dry naturally.
- Avoid tumble drying and keep it away from heat sources such as radiators and direct sunlight.
Ironing:
- Use the lowest iron setting and iron inside out with a damp cloth placed between the cashmere and the iron.
- Alternatively, steam your cashmere with a handheld steamer, if available.
Pilling:
- Pilling may occur over time, a natural result of this fine fiber. Use a cashmere comb to remove any pilling. If you don't have one, please contact our customer care team for assistance.
Moth Protection:
- Take preventive measures against moths when storing your cashmere.
- Line your drawers with fragranced anti-moth paper and place sachets inside your wardrobe.
- Consider using cedar balls and sprays to deter moths from your cherished cashmere collection.
By following these steps, you'll maintain the pristine quality and luxurious feel of your cashmere, ensuring its enduring beauty and softness for years to come.
